1970³â´ë ¿ì¸®³ª¶óÀÇ Á¶±¹±Ù´ëÈ­·ÐÀº »õ¸¶À» ¿îµ¿À¸·Î È®»êµÇ¾î »çȸÀü¹Ý¿¡ °ÅÃÄ ¸¹Àº ¿µÇâÀ» ³²°å´Ù. ƯÈ÷ 1970³â´ë ÈÄ¹Ý ³óÃÌ¿¡¼­ Àü°³µÈ ³óÃÌÁÖÅà °³¼±»ç¾÷°ú ¸¶À» Ãë¶ô±¸Á¶ °³¼±»ç¾÷Àº Áö¿ªÀÇ Æ¯¼ºÀ» °í·ÁÇÏÁö ¾ÊÀº ä Áß¾ÓÁ¤ºÎÀÇ ÀϹæÀû Áöħ¿¡ ÀÇÇØ ÀÌ·ç¾îÁø Àü½ÃÇàÁ¤ÀÇ Ç¥º»À̾ú´Ù.

1970³â´ë ÈÄ¹Ý Á¤ºÎ¿¡ ÀÇÇØ ¼¼°èÈ­¿Í ±Ù´ëÈ­ÀÇ ¿øÇüÀ¸·Î ÀϹæÀûÀ¸·Î Á¦½ÃµÇ¾ú´ø »õ¸¶À» ³óÃÌÁÖÅõéÀÌ 30¿©³âÀÇ ½Ã°£ÀÇ È帧°ú ÇÔ²² Áö¹æÈ­¿Í ÀüÅëÀÌ Á¢ÇÕÇÏ¿© »õ·Î¿î Çüüµé·Î º¯È­Çϰí ÀÖ´Ù. ³ªÀÇ °ü½ÉÀº Global(¼¼°èÈ­, ±Ù´ëÈ­)Àû À̳ä°ú Local(Áö¹æÀû, ÀüÅëÀû)Àû Ư¼ö¼ºÀÌ °áÇÕÇÏ¿© ź»ýÇÑ ³óÃ̰¡¿Á¿¡¼­ Ãâ¹ßÇÑ´Ù. ȹÀÏÀûÀ¸·Î Á¦½ÃµÇ¾ú´ø ¿øÇüÀÇ ¸ð½ÀµéÀÌ ¼¼¿ùÀÌ È帣´Â µ¿¾È °¡¿Á¼ÒÀ¯ÀÚÀÇ ÃëÇâÀ̳ª °æÁ¦·Â µîÀÇ ¿äÀÎÀ¸·Î ´Ù¾çÇÏ°Ô º¯È­µÇ°í ÀÖ´Ù. With the theory of modernization of our country in the 1970s spreading out into the New Community Movement [Saemaeul Movement], it had a lot of effect on society in general. Particularly, the farming house & its settlement structure improvement project, which were developed in the late 1970s, was a specimen of a show window administration achieved by the central government¡¯s one-sided guidelines without taking local characteristics into account. The farming houses scattered here and there complying with nature were collectivized and standardized under the slogan of modernization and globalization based on ostentatious doctrine of development and fascist space production method. Stone walls and thatched roofs were switched to the appearance of an improved traditional Korean-style house equipped with brick walls and slate roofs. Particularly, the villages located within a two-hundred-meter visibility range from national roads or railways and lying on the border between county and province were replaced with the most advanced refined Italian Western-style house-what is called-a pigeon house. Due to the arbitrary method of development by the dictatorial government, the modernization and globalization of Korean farming houses, with the meaning proper to the Korean farming house disappearing, were turned into the situation where something new in the West took place of something old in Korea. In general, the modernization strategy of Korea goes by the modernization model of the Western society, which could be prescribed as, so-called, "Strategy in implicit pursuit of modernization", and the Korean characteristic of modernization-loss of its identity-arisen from simulation and standardization could be, in its extraordinary sense, represented as Hybrid configuration in which various time zones, such as pre-modern times-modern times-post-modern times-are mixed.
 
However, the Saemaeul Movement-based farming houses, which were one-sidedly suggested as a prototype of globalization and modernization by the government during the late 1970s, have been changing into new configurationswith the junction of localization and tradition together with the time flow of thirty years or so. This researcher¡¯s concern begins with the farming houses created by the ties between the global idea and local distinctiveness.
 
This researcher gives a spatial-cultural significance to the eccentric space with hybrid configuration by the name of Glocal site-a hybrid name mixed with "Global" and "Local."
 
The aspects of the prototype suggested monolithically are changing in variety due to the taste or economic strength of a house proprietor with the stream of time.
 
Red tile roofs of an Italian-style house are replaced with inexpensive, easy color steel plate roofs to an Korean style house due to the inconvenience of preservation and burden of maintenance costs and on subsequently revived dragon heads re-appeared traditional signs having incantation-based meanings [a peony flower symbolizing wealth and fame, dragon supplicating the rise of social status, and bliss praying for a change of fortune]. With the construction of a new residence by a rich farmer obtaining economic strength, all sorts of luxurious construction materials and multifarious exotic architectural styles have been introducednevertheless, there still exist a dragon on dragon head-shaped tiles on the roof, and on the porch, patterns of ten creatures symbolic of eternal longevity, such as pine trees or cranes aspiring to eternal life are engraved.
 
Entering a courtyard of a house whose tiled roofs of a time-honored traditional Korean-styled house have been replaced with blue splendid color steel plate roofs, it reminds its viewers of just a seventy-year-old woman¡¯s yellow dyed hair in recent vogue. A pavilion, a space for typical communication and opening in rural villages is transforming itself into a closed space with the installation of shutters just because there are some electronic appliances, such as TV or electric fan, etc. in there. Besides, there appears a container house, on top of which, available to security of space with a low cost, permanence is given to the one-time space by putting up a fashionable roof of Korean-style house.
 
Tradition is always re-organized. In the background which is re-organized hide the desires of the contemporary period. This research, through the collection of Glocal sites- a hybrid space- mixed with such diverse cultures and time zones, wants to throw a question about the tradition of rural scenery and the prototyped landscape of this period lying in the back of it.
